Talkon is a professional, cloud-based solution developed by speech language pathologists for the professional market.
The system is designed to help practitioners manage sessions efficiently, while cutting a significant amount of administrative work. Talkon comes with an easy-to-use caregiver application that encourages enjoyable and rewarding at-home practice. Access to the app is by invitation only.
Why is this important?
Early childhood offers a window of opportunity for learning, as the brain is at its most receptive stage, and the intake of new information is at its peak. When a child’s speech or communication disorder is not treated on time, the child becomes frustrated and the gap with their peers only grows.
As SLPs, we appreciate the importance of in-home practice. Parents are the most important change agents for their child, and their participation in the process is critical to success.

once they are completed, they will automatically be

Talkon gives you tools and benchmarks to help you audit
yourself as you set treatment goals.
The system comes with a list of treatment goals which reflect language development norms, according to age and diagnosis. After you complete assessing the child, choose the relevant goals.
Documenting and
managing the process?
With Talkon everything is done in one place.
The system is designed for you to document sessions, set and update goals, select and send assignments directly to caregiver, and receive recorded at-home practice activities so you can evaluate and follow your client’s progress at any time.
Talkon helps get parents more involved so that every child is given their best chance for a complete and efficient resolution of issues.
At-home practice assignments? We’ve developed a parent application that makes working at home an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
As part of documentation, the system offers at-home practice assignments that are relevant to the child’s challenges, diagnosis, age, and family preferences.
Invite parents to use the app by sending them
a dedicated link.
Parents download the application to their
smartphone.
Demonstrate how the app works to the parent
and setup a daily reminder for practicing.
After setup is completed, you can start
selecting and sending assignments to the parent
in one click, adding your own comments
and additional instructions.
Parent receives a daily homework reminder
to their phone. Parent logs into the app,
selects and completes an easy home assignment
with their child.
Using the app, the parent records
the ongoing practice and at the
end of the practice, the recording
is sent directly to you.
Each time a new recording is
uploaded, you’ll receive
notification from the system.
Listen to the assignment (or part
of it), and give feedback during
your next session at the clinic.
